It was a beautiful, yet quietly powerful read. It did a fantastic job of blurring the lines between good and bad. So many times when reading it I felt conflicted. Everything about some of the situations was so wrong but at the same time, I was liking, maybe even loving, the characters who were doing evil actions. Good guys put in bad situations, forced to make hard decisions that made them do wrong things for 5 stars!! Good guys put in bad situations, forced to make hard decisions that made them do wrong things for the right reasons but in the end the wrong thing to do actually ended up being the right thing

Start your review of Redemption Sempre, 2 Write a review Being honest sucks. For me, it was a 5-star read. It was different, unique, thrilling, sexy. Needless to say, Sempre: Redemption was one of my most highly Being honest sucks.
From the opening line, my heart was right back in the story. I did that shit all on my own. This was not where the story was going. AT ALL. Carmine left. Without telling Haven. I was still "with" the story at that point This one though was more like a Mafia book with a light sprinkling of romance.
By the half way mark, I was struggling not to put the book down. Really, it just felt too long. Haven does go on one date ugh!! However, despite the fact that I did not like the direction of the storyline, I still loved certain parts of this book.
I absolutely loved the writing -- it had the same smart, engaging and very unique tone to it that I associate so strongly with Sempre. Sempre already has a movie deal so I really hope the movie gods hurry it up because I really felt like I could see the whole story playing out in front of me while I was reading it. I could easily see this as being the "next big Blockbuster" movie hit.
With the way this book ends, their story is fully wrapped up along with a beautiful epilogue set ten years into future. I think that Carmine and Haven will always have a special place in my heart. Did I mention being honest sucks??
